I've been thinking (for a while before i got my bandit) about getting some accessories for my riding. These mostly include

A 12v charger port (phone satnav etc)

A sat nav holder. i currently have an old TomTom that i used for reference, anyone know if there is a holder that fits this and fits onto a motorcycle handlebars?

And for the winter some heated grips!

Also will a standard(as far as i know!) bandit battery be able to power these?

If anyone can recomend some specific products they or friends have used that would be great as i don't want to end up buying a piece of crud and regretting it.

you can easily get all of that and fairly cheap too

there is some waterproof cases you can get for the sat nag that strap to the bars

as for the battery its not the battery you need to worry about its the charging system it needs to be able to supply enough to charge the battery and all the accessories and seen as though they are all draw relatively low voltage you should be fine

I have a double cigarette lighter socket on mine to power sat nag and phone charger. Always fit an inline fuse and carry spares. I have a screen on my cruiser and stick sat nag on that, but a waterproof case may be better. Some probs with seeing screen in cover in bright sunshine though?

Prob just gonn have it sitting on the bars, bit more secure, Only need it as reference saves stopping to read a map =D

Always carry some spare fuses =) For the bike aswell! I've had a few blow before!

I rigged my faglighter socket to plugs into my optimate charger socket under the seat. That way i only have one set of cables connected to my battery and one fuse to worry about.

Holder - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-6-Waterproo ... 20e2652231

Same as that Amazon 1 for £8 less. They work ok but the front can steam a little in really bad weather. Also the plastic ball it rotates on wears down a bit after a lot of use. Mine lasted about 18 months before I had to pack the ball out with some old card, it was then fine till I got the ZZR and needed a yoke mount one instead.

That looks pretty decent =D That will fit a tomtom one? Not a bad price to be fair =)

Picked up an oxford 12v adaptor from my local bike shop, cost a little more but if i have issues i can take it back there rather than send it to ping in china.

Ordering a case now for the tom tom

If that's the little tomtom it may be on the large side but you can just jam something by the side to hold it firm. If it's a big tomtom it should be fine my Mio Moove is pretty big and fitted perfectly

Ordered one just gonna stick a bit of foam inside. Not using it every day anyway =D

Sticking foam in will work but the one I got has all the bits including hard foam of different thickness to pad out the SatNav.

Not bad for everything at just short of £40.00

I got it back in April but only just fitted it, long story, and it didn't work. I went back to 'Mr Buy-Bits' on ebay and he came back withing an hour with a couple of suggestions. I forgot there's an on/off button on the small interface box - DOH, he must have thought I was a right plonker!

EDIT NOTE - This one connects directly to the battery, no need for a fag lighter interface.

When I use my heated grips I try to remember to turn them off 10 minutes from home just to give the battery a chance to top up if it needs it.
