mealexme Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 In a bit of a rush, do you need to clamp the fuel lines when removing a fuel injected tank? Im thinking no, but don't want a full tank of fuel all over the bike. Am in the garage now, so quick replies would be great Quote
Guest Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 usually.. and to be completely safe, until you know one way or the other - yes.. not all manufacturers fit Q/D tank lines Quote
mealexme Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 got damn it, I can't find a way to clamp it with the tools I have Oh well. I'll keep trying. Thanks Quote
Mr Fro Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 got damn it, I can't find a way to clamp it with the tools I have Oh well. I'll keep trying. ThanksTwo screwdrivers, extension bars, straight things either side of the pipe then zip tie them together nice and tight at each end. Quote
cockercas Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 If you are past the pump then no need to clamp. Quote
mealexme Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 it was more that the pipe came off at the tank, therefor there was no pipe to clamp. Anyway, I took a chance and removed it, no fuel came out, so we're all good Quote
