It was great!. I took it pretty easy as I didn't want to bin the bike as I rode there, the best thing (for me) about track experience is taking the sweeping corners without having to worry about traffic or unexpected obstacles suddenly appearing in front of you. Rockingham's left handers are fantastic, no5, 6 and especially around no.8. The track layout was 90% the same as the International Super Sportscar Circuit but with the chicane added at the end of the start/finish and 300 yards or so before the Deene hairpin.

Excuse the slightly dodgy photo-shop-chop around turn 1, I couldn't find the exact layout we did that included the first chicane

I overtook a few, was overtaken lots more heh 8-) . Generally on the straights though as most of my group had much more powerful machinery than me & I pretty heavy to boot. My brakes aren't the best either despite an overhaul & new pads. No real fade to speak of, they're just not very powerful and hence not very confidence inspiring regarding consistent braking points, especially coming up to turn 9 (the Tarzan hairpin).

My tyres took a bit of a beating considering it was damp for the first three sessions and the air temp only got up to about 13C

I've been round Rockingham a few times and know the lay out. When the run the International they always have the chicane and end of start finish straight. The National circuit is better so watch out for the days there running that next year. I do like the lefts they just get tighter as you go round them. Glad you enjoyed it (and didn't bin it) hope to see you there next year as I don't think I'll be there again this year.
