Abraxix92 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Looking for a decent waterproof cover for my motorcycle as it's left outside.I'd prefer a cover over a £200+ shed as i can use a good cover while i go to friends and stay there, or when i visit family/move home.My last cover has vanished so i guess it's blown away some where never to return.Has anyone tried these covers? R&G covers where it covers all the motorcycle and zips up?Im curious if i can still chain my motorcycle to ground anchors efficiently.Similar to this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-R-G-Adven ... 3cd8dc959f Quote
Throttled Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 I have that R&G Adventure, which has cut outs to put the chain through. There are clips to secure it under the bike, but I use a cheap ratchet strap out of B&Q to wrap round it. Mine recently survived being blown off the bike and ending up in a neighbours garden. I am sure your bike will fit the "Superbike cover", the adventure one will trail onto the ground and get very wet. Quote
Guest Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Honestly I bought mine from Aldi.It was around a tenner and I still use it. There are loops in the centre which I put a carabiner through.I guess the only downside is the fact it has a clear bit of plastic which shows the number plate. It's fully waterproof aswell and reaches below the tyres. rob m Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 I can thoroughly recommend the Oxford rainex cover. It's kept my bike dry for over a year. http://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/prod ... cover/1257 Quote
iiisecondcreep Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I use the R&G covers, they are pretty good.before buying my current ones I decided to 'upgrade' to an oxford stormex which looked and felt great but was a terrible fit for my bikes. I still have it as postage was too much to send it back. Its still up for grabs if anyone is interested! Medium size, might fit an er6! Quote
Abraxix92 Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 I'd need to know that it fits to be honest otherwise I'd ask how much your looking for Quote
iiisecondcreep Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 It probably wouldn't, I found it was slightly too short lengthwise (it may just be long enough for your bike) but its massively baggy everywhere else! Quote
Abraxix92 Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 Awwh thanks anyway, cheers for been honest Quote
