Hey everyone.

My local bike shop (waltham cross motorcycles) seem to be at the same price on their agv helmets as the Internet so I'd rather buy from them.

So a little help if anyone could help me out.

I like the look of the k3 rossi wake up.

And the k3 sv misano.

Does anyone know what the sv is all about?

I would get a k5 bit they all look plain

The SV has the internal sunvisor. That's the only difference.

Good helmets, I've had my Vulcan red K3 SV for over a year and I find it comfortable, reasonably quiet and the pinlock works most of the time.

Any questions about other AGVs, ask me - I sell helmets for a living, haha.

Thanks gazzy I just found that out haha. I really like the look of them and how they have the same as a pista just in a cheaper shell.

Just need find the right size. As they do two different she'll size and four inners? Or something like that anyway hah

Best thing to do is try them on, as many as you can till you find the one that feels right.

The race reps are very much worth a look too. The various Rossi reps, plus the two Guy Martin reps. Bare in mind that the Guy Martin reps are like rocking horse poo atm - I tried to order some the other day and the distributor is out of stock of yellow ones till August!

From the Revzilla review I watched there's more than just a sun visor change between the K3 and K3 SV, I'd have to re-watch to state the differences but i'm sure it's easily found.

+ Having owned the K3 SV I'd say the only annoying thing is the pinlock, it's not the maxi-vision and only covers half of the visor leaving a gap above and below, my pinlock can often need pushing up (just a little) after shutting my visor (re-open visor and push up) as the top of the pinlock can often be at such an awkward angle it is half in the eye of my eye line (doesn't happen all the time, but was annoying when I figured out that the pinlock was slipping down.. originally thought I'd put the helmet on at to low of an angle).

The position of the chin vent switch is on the inside of the helmet (often meaning that I decide pre-ride weather the conditions render it needing to be open or not).

The sun visor lever is easier to push down (bringing the sun visor out) that it is to push to lever up (bringing the sun visor up into the helmet) requires a little bit of a push to get it to retract into the helmet again (and some getting used to doing this).

On the whole a good helmet and have plenty of compliments on how good it looks (I have the yellow rossi rep K3 SV).

Thanks for such a detailed reply fella. Iv found put the sv has most of what the pista has minus the carbon and that. I'm tempted to get the misano bit not sure it'll go with my blue r6.

I have the Simoncelli

I find the pinlock covers most of the visor and do not notice the gaps. It has great ventilation and goes quiet when they are all closed. The sun visor is not dark enough for me and I can still be a bit dazzled by the sun.

Would you not rather one that stayed on your head?

Note my above helmet, note my chinese 125.. can't be any more worlds apart than what my combination is

Agree with the fact that if it was darker it would be better but has saved my bacon riding in the direction of the sun a couple of times, beats nothing but could be better.
