XmisterIS Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 hey man I have a raligh racing bike that I don't use anymore it's just sitting in the shed. has a flat tyre but I could let you have it for a few quid if you want man. It's pretty nippy This I would highly recommend! £ for £, a road bike beats an ATB hands down for road riding, every time (unless it's a shit hot ATB), due to weight, gearing, wheel size, tyre profile, frame geometry. Mr Fro Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 What you should definitely do Ricker is get skinny Conti Olympic tubular tyres (a-la Tour de France) mounted on carbon fibre wheels, a nice magnesium/carbon fibre frame with Lightspeed forks and Campagnolo Super Record brake/gearsets - shouldn't set you back too much more than £20k and should just about do you for your commute for the next few weeks*.*Items specified are, in my view, an absolute minimum I consider necessary in this instance... Of course, the frame will be a bespoke one-off, made specifically for you, so might take a few weeks to arrive. Patience is a virtue! Quote
