hey man I have a raligh racing bike that I don't use anymore it's just sitting in the shed. has a flat tyre but I could let you have it for a few quid if you want man. It's pretty nippy :)

This I would highly recommend! £ for £, a road bike beats an ATB hands down for road riding, every time (unless it's a shit hot ATB), due to weight, gearing, wheel size, tyre profile, frame geometry.

What you should definitely do Ricker is get skinny Conti Olympic tubular tyres (a-la Tour de France) mounted on carbon fibre wheels, a nice magnesium/carbon fibre frame with Lightspeed forks and Campagnolo Super Record brake/gearsets - shouldn't set you back too much more than £20k and should just about do you for your commute for the next few weeks*.

*Items specified are, in my view, an absolute minimum I consider necessary in this instance...

:stupid:

Of course, the frame will be a bespoke one-off, made specifically for you, so might take a few weeks to arrive. Patience is a virtue!
