Throttled Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 This is good and I have used some alreadyhttp://www.motorcycle.com/top10/top-10- ... hacks.html- coat hanger cruise control (not tried, hands too big and it would get in the way)- wire helmet lock (use one all the time, for my tank bag as well)- make your own tie downs (not needed, yet)- disc lock reminder (too fiddly)- magnets to hold directions the tank (stuck down directions till I got a sat nav)- bin bag to keep you dry (plastic bags in the boots is as much as I have had to do)- news papers in boots for drying them out (works with any boot/shoe)- duct tape sun visor (not used but very good idea)- latex glove liners (used a lot in the winter and they work)- crushed can side support (used a lot till I got fixed pucks fitted) Quote
Glorian Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Number 10 - i've used before. Or a nearby rock Number 9 - didn't work for me. better of with bark bustersnumber 8 - sunglasses.number 7 - get waterproof boots number 6 - can be quite good if you lack space for waterproofs. though i'd wear it on top keep my gear drier and look a bit stupid for a while.number 5 - Use road signs / sat nav and avoid scratching your tankNumber 4 - MehNumber 3 - cheaper than a rack i guess.Number 2 - Might actually try that next time im in townNumber 1 - What could possibly go wrong. Mr Fro Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 So blindingly obvious things are known as "hacks" in the US now are they? Quote
Throttled Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 I was watching various hacks on you tube and looked up some bike specific ones. I think the duct tape sun visor is a good one if you do it neatly. Quote
Bigralphie Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Have used the free plastic gloves at the diesel pumps with wet gloves before Quote
