Octogenarian Motorcyclists!

I'm fairly new to this forum - I posted an intro in the newbie section a while ago. As well as being a keen biker I am also a photographer - not commercial, I just like to shoot my own projects with a particular subject in mind. I would like to do a series of portraits of octogenarian motorcyclists. The first obvious issue here is whether there are any, in the UK at least. I do hope so for all sorts of reasons least of all so I can photograph them, but accepting there may be few or none riding, I would like to hear from anyone that is over seventy, still riding and willing to be photographed (Anyone agreeing would get a decent sized print of the final shot) Alternatively if you know of anyone that fits the bill or you could provide other introductions or leads to other clubs or forums I would appreciate hearing from you. If I can get this going I would keep TMBF posted on progress with images etc., with permission from the subjects of course.

A couple of years ago there was a guy in his 80's used to attend Salisbury bike night on a Ducati, I see you're in dumpminster so you could try heading up there on a bike night see if he still exists.

roadtorque still comes on here occasionally.

I think he's 70 something.

We also had lonely old Dave and Bob,

1 of them sadly passed away but the

other still comes on occasionally

Many thanks KTM21, Rennie and wr6133 for the replies. I'll follow up and will take a trip along to Salisbury Bike night in July.

Go to BMW Club meets

Go to any vintage rally or show

You will find loads

Just don express surprise that they still ride as possibly could take the tone of this post as AGE DISCRIMINATION

Hi Sherrif. Thanks for your suggestions. Will get out to some meets. Take your point re age discrimination though definitely not intended. Quite the contrary, I'm interested in anyone that resists the age tag and keeps doing what thy love.

Len Vale-Onslow, used to own a bike shop come spares dept on Stratford road Sparkbrook in Birmingham (Vale-Onslow's) till he died in April 2004 aged 104. He rode bikes into his 90's, he even designed and built his own bikes (the S.O.S). I used to go there quite often for spares for the Bonnie and other bikes, sadly missed.
