Getting loads of crap emails from companies that I haven't signed up to. Anyone know how stop these (apart from changing my email address) as I'm getting up to 35 a day now :(

Use Gmail to receive your emails. It's got excellent spam filtering and can be configured to receive email from most sources. You can still keep your existing address, just use gmail as your email client.

Forgot about that you can do the same thing with Outlook I believe

Block the sender on all the junk e-mails. Most of them come from the same sender, who uses a different name to send it from so it looks like paypal or similar.

I was getting literally 20 messages a day saying my paypal required "informations immediately". But after I started junking the lot, it has settled down to one every few weeks. My junk folder auto deletes every week so the mess stays out of my inbox.

I use Gmail. Its spam filter is second to none. And it for whatever reason that fails, mark a message as spam and you will never see any messages from that sender again.

If the senders keep changing their address, but keep the same domain is is also easy to set up an auto filter to automatically mark them as spam and move them from your inbox.

Switch off and throw away your Laptop/Tablet/Phone/PC (delete as applicable) - This will ensure you remain 100% (electronic) spam free!

I sign them up for free on line magazines. Religious ones are good as you can usually sign up for loads on I page. I had one guy who kept spamming me emails and I spent months signing him up for them. I bet he had fun .

At the bottom of the emeail there is usually a "unsubscribe" button hidden in the small print. I went through a phase of having 10/20 a day. Unsubscribed from them and not had an issue since

I ended up blocking all the senders of the junk emails. It worked, so thanks guys for the suggestions :thumb:
