Varish Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Not sure whether this is the right place or not, but I haven't found a better one. I'm new to glasgow, and I don't know anything, like John Snow. Does anyone knows a mechanic I could trust? Thanks! Quote
Dynamo_Delboy Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Bill the Biker on Alexandra Parade is a great guy for working on your bike.Stevie Brierton aswell but to be honest with you, he is an arrogant c*** and basically if he cant be bothered he will just fob you off.Girders in Airdrie (just outside glasgow) are great aswell.WheeliePro Mechanics are a mobile company in Glasgow. (Find them on facebook) pretty good reputation. Im sure its my mate's pal that owns it. Quote
Cam Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Also Ride-On have a workshop. Been around since the seventies so must be doing something right. Quote
Six30 Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Just try and find one that's not drunk ... Good luck Quote
Throttled Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Bill the Biker on Alexandra Parade is a great guy for working on your bike. I found him to be terrible as he was slow, forgot what work I had asked him to do and he got a part powder coated the wrong colour.I have had no issues with AMR (the MCS mechanics) at Renfrew. Quote
Varish Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 I was forced to a quick decision on Saturday and Bill the biker was the winner. Also, the only one who picked up the phone.. I'll give you some review, but I don't have much to do. I need a general check, plus the bike is out of battery. Nothing difficult really. I heard others good review about Girders, so I'll probably try him the next time. Thanks guys! Quote
Varish Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 Well, until today so far so good. My bike was put back in place, all seemed perfect. But this morning the battery was dead, so I'm unsure whether he changed it and it is a faulty one, or if he charged me for a new one and just reload it. I'll bring him the bike to check this stuff and it would be hopefully free of charge. Quote
KRIS2013 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Dynotech Ecosse, Hillington. Definitely best guys about Quote
Roxyy Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I always to go Bill the Biker, he always does his best to service my bike as quickly as he can since I hate being off the road while doing his job properly unlike some other bike garages in Glasgow and a lot cheaper comparing to dealers Quote
Ratser Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Davie at Hamilton Motorcycles.Awesome guy, fully approved by all major manufacturers, uses only named parts. My blade went there for its first service as it was less than half of what Honda wanted. Quote
Throttled Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 AMR in Renfrew. They just helped me sort my bike with advice over the phone. It is up and running again. They are also now official Kawasaki service agents, so st least that is covered again in the west of Scotland.http://amrmotorcyclesltd.com/ Quote
