Varish Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Hey, apologies if there is already a post on this, I couldn't find it.So, I've been riding in the deepest dark roads of Scotland and I am thinking of upgrade my bulbs in favor of a more luminous one.Are there any restriction in the UK (blue lights, too much lumens, ...)? Because I know in italy we have them, so, don't want to be fined. Also, which bulbs do you recommend? I saw a bunch of them online, just want something that will not blew up. Quote
rice-pudding Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 There's restrictions on what the brightness of bulbs can be and you can't fit certain bulbs without an auto light balancer but to be honest I've ran my car with 8000k HID bulbs and seen people run even brighter with no issues! Not sure about the MOT though, but for brightness HID is the way to go, you can get some pretty good standard bulbs aswell though Quote
Stu Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 HID's are illegal in reflector headlights and you get too much stray light! dont fit them you will just blind people! osram night breakers or night racers are supposed to be good also check your voltage at your bulb connector make sure you are getting 12v Quote
Guest Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 you could always add spot lights.. just dont get carried away. it really is possible to have too much of a good thing.like this american plonker.http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w40/motobiker/bling2.jpg~original Quote
Hoggs Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I have the osram night racers they're pretty bright! Quote
