Hi all, I'm 31 years old and from N.Ireland. I am putting my dragstar in for a service and I am wondering do I need to do anything to maintain the bikes shaft drive? Also I have lights on the bottom crash bar but one seems to have blew, the screw has well rusted and I can't get it off to open inside. Does anyone know by the off chance what sort of bulb this would take? I love riding bikes but when it comes to working on them I am pretty useless.

Thanks for reahttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12/17/e497296c357b169e6d11804e832ceaa8.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12/17/8aa2c9fc79d6288e617cffc44d25a70e.jpgding!

Welcome to TMBF mate.....pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can....... 8-)

As far as I know the crown wheel will have oil in it that needs to be replaced periodically.......as for the spot lamps, I don't think they're standard so it'll be hard to say what bulbs are in there until you get them apart........give the screws a good soak in some penetrating oil and then try them again.....

I'm only guessing, but these sort of lamps usually have a 5W T10 bulb in them. I find that they blow much more frequently than most other bulbs, so I replace mine with LED equivalents. As said before, soak screw with plenty of WD-40 or Plus Gas and try again. Also, you could give the screwdriver a couple of cracks with a hammer, to try and free the screws. Good quality tools usually make a lot of difference to the outcome of this sort of problem. Make sure that your screwdriver bit is a good, tight fit. If it isn't, buy one that is. ;)
