Back in August I purchased a Rukka Armaxion suit ready for my first ever Euro trip.

I ummed and ahhed for a LONG time, bored the socks off one of our members and read as many reviews as I could on Rukka.

As it happened we avoided any rain that week lol, but I know I've invested in quality gear for the future.

My mate has just sent me this link

Great write up.

My secondhand Rukka air jacket has had some severe drenching and remained waterproof .......I've been dead pleased with it so far...... 8-)

Dunno Deso........it's got a removable quilted liner........and it keeps me fairly warm in the winter...... 8-)

A quick Google and it looks like it's primarily designed for warmer weather, so if it's keeping you warm and dry now, you're going to love it even more come the summer [emoji106][emoji41]

Been thinking about Rukka as my Rev'it defender Pro gear is VERY heavy but has excellent air flow for summer, how is the Rukka stuff?, I need to breath.

I have no experience of riding in hot temps yet so can't give any info on my suit.

The different models give different air flow. The Cosmic that the guys wore in the write up looks good for air flow.

I think it might be a case of finding your nearest stockist and trying a few on. I know there's a place in York but don't know if there is a nearer one to you.

for light weight and vents.. look at those with 'air' in the name.. the rest vary mainly in style and materials. it likely that the best for the warmer weather are those with removable layers.. you dont need the goretex liner in, when its blue sky and hot for instance.. or the thermal layer for that matter. At least one of the 'air' suits doesnt even come with a thermal liner.

Mine has the goretex bonded to the outer shell so it cant be removed.. and the thermal layer is outlast, which worked well for me both on the Grossglokner at 1c and in Monaco where it was nearer 30c. fine for riding in... but no good at all at a rest stop where i was forced to take it off pdq. for riding in that kind of heat I found wearing my summer gloves and raising the flip on the helmet most useful - though the locals in sandals and shorts on their bikes probably thought I was totally insane.

I have the Armaxion jacket and Cosmic trousers and absolutely love them.

Winter riding is no bother at all and in summer with the outlast liners removed and all the vents open they're lovely and breezy. The jacket is hefty but it's very well protected so that's fine by me.

I can't praise my gear enough.
