scottynapalm Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Hi people I'm after a front and rear camera set up, that will be wired in. Do you have any guidance in this area please Quote
Joeman Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Cheap bullet cams are the way to go. Just need to ensure they start recording when the power comes on and stop after bike is turned off. It's something I looked into but didn't finish Quote

Any specific ones I could search? Quote
Joeman Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 The sports dv camera is a good cheap bullet cam but the ones I bought didn't automatically start recording when power was applied I eventually went for the Mobius action cams but they are not waterproof. But you can buy a waterproof case for them.Very good cameras! Quote
Tango Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Not cheap.......but looks pretty good...... http://www.innovv.com/#!the-k1/c3r6 Quote
Joeman Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Not cheap.......but looks pretty good...... http://www.innovv.com/#!the-k1/c3r6Looks cool.I was considering a similar setup, so a small two channel DVR with two small cameras. DVRs are quite cheap now and it would store all footage on one SD card rather than one card per camera... Easier to destroy the evidence - only one card to chew up and swallow instead of two Quote

But I have just been quoted £500 to repair my Belly pan Side fairing Slight crack in nose coneCracked front mud guardand paint them if I buy the paint and graphics. Is this a decent price? There supposed to be [emoji90] hot too Quote
Valko Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Hi people I'm after a front and rear camera set up, that will be wired in. Do you have any guidance in this area please Sure I have this. Long story short £20 clone of SJ4000 clone of GoPro will do just fine. Save your money and spent £50 the results is the same if you are after permanently wired black box style set up.So here is my black box permanent two camera set up.The only expensive bit is PDM60, but you can use a relay and a fuse.I have mounted the 4k Firefly camera in front and the other on the back. Frankly the video quality for 4k is more or less the same as 1080p.It is permanet mounting. Have used soldering iron to make a nice holes in the waterproof cases for both so that I can plug USB cables. Than sealed with some silicone. Both cables are zip tied and go under the seat where I have two ports USB socket mounted and connected to the PDM60. After I turn the ignition on PDM60 gives me nice 7 seconds delay before turning the power for the USB socket on.Both cameras are set up in DVR mode, means you turn power they start recording, turn off power stops recording.Kind of black box set up. Both have 32Gb cards and are set up to record 5 minute clips in never ending cycle mode. Each 5 mins clip is about 400mb so with 32Gb cars that gives you about 400 minutes recording before it gets overriden. 400 minutes is about 7 hours riding time means 2-3 days riding before overwrite.Because the cameras are sealed I use laptop to connect and download videos:http://farm1.staticflickr.com/638/23593472760_833e1f4903_k.jpgBack camera cheap clone of SJ4000 clone of GoPro:http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5705/23260969194_9ae2bd565a_k.jpgFront camera Firefly 6S:http://farm1.staticflickr.com/623/23593490180_0f353020e3_k.jpg Quote
