So I've just splashed out big time and bought myself a bluetooth headset from Aldi :D. The problem is... fitting it. It comes with a clamp that you fit to the side of the helmet, under the lining. But I've just to come to take the lining out of my helmet to find a big red notice saying

WARNING Do not remove lining. Shock absorption performance may be compromised.

Really? Should I just rip it out anyway? Or should I ponder my mortality, and, to safeguard my remaining time on earth, just take the headset back to Aldi?

If the lining isnt designed to be removable then you cannot remove. The ones that you can take out have a combination of velcro and pop studs holding it in.

Sorry should have said - Shoei GT Air. There are a ton of videos on youtube on how to remove the lining. Basically you unpop the poppers and then pull.

Ahh I think I have the same one!

The Jaw/Cheek sections are easily pulled out with poppers.. You shouldn't have a problem taking these out for a little while, just make sure when you put them back in that all the studs and closed home.

I'm not sure as much for the rear skull section, but you shouldn't need to remove that anyway, for what you need..

Cheers! I'll set to it tonight.
