Drak3n Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Hello everybody, sorry from my English, im not local, but will try my best !Recently i have this problem with my 2009 Honda CBF600n : The front wheel is not in the center of the fork ! If you are looking from the front of the bike, front wheel seems to be positioned more to the right side. This is what the left side looks like :And right :The bike was like this all the time im driving it. The wear of the tyre was uneven, the brake pads wear too, so the right pad in each caliper was much thinner that left. But i found one solution : With more force, i tried, with my friend, move the right fork leg, more to the side and than fixed it on the axle, with those bolts on the bottom of the leg. That sorted thing, the wheel was finally in the center. But the handlebars were not straight, but will talk about that after this pic :This ilustrates, that we moved the fork few mm to the right, almost to the marked edge od the end of the axle (near that hole).By this movement, wheel moved to the right position, also in the both of calipers. Now, after fork rebuild(i also asked for straightening), the same problem is here again(actually, this are the newest pictures)The wheel is again more to the right, but now, the handlebars are totally straight, also the front tyre is brand new.Thats why im asking you for help, dont want uneven wear both on tyre and the pads, all of them are new, what seems to be the problem here ?Is it something with spacers or axle ? Did anybody experienced simillar problem on simmilar bikes ? Like cbr 600, hornet etc. while many Hondas should have simmilar front axle parts.Hope you do understand, what i mean Unfortunately, i live in eastern Europe and i cant trust any mechanic and i just dont really believe, that the fork is now OK... Thank you for your time. Quote
Mr Fro Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Hello matey. Whereabouts in Eastern Europe are you?For your wonky wheel... Have you checked a manual or such to check you've got all the right spacers and stuff and that the handlebars aren't bent?If you have, (with the bike on the centre stand) you could try loosening the bolts around the axle and the yolk clamps at the top of the forks, give everything a wiggle and tighten things back up a bit at a time i.e. everything finger tight, then a couple of turns, then fully tight. If that doesn't work you might need to have the forks off (maybe apart) to check they're straight. Joe 90 Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 YouTube there is good videos explaining how to align your front wheel. I believe you need to loosen axle bolt and pinch bolts then apply pressure to a leg then pinch up.Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk Quote

eastanglianbiker Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 if all the forks and wheel have been off the bike have the spacers been placed back in the correct position? Quote
cockercas Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Are the spacers in correctly? If the forks arnt centered then you get the same symptoms. Quote
