Need some help if possible. I eed to put a new bulb in the headlight on my Honda CG, hopefully before MOT. Problem is screw wont budge. Its all rusted and also the screw slot is mangled. How can I get it out and also would a need a special screw to replace it?

Thanks.

Soak it well with penetrating fluid first. Few days and a decent cross head

Thanks, probably should have mentioned I have given it a good soak a few times. The screw just starts to crumble now so it really is becoming a mess. :D

Well if it completely crumbles away problem solved getting it out :thumb:

Can you get a set of grips on it? Looks a fair amount of head to get onto it. Failing that it's drilling out if you drill just the head off may be enough when lens off to get set of grips on that then.

Finally there are these...

Personally whenever I've tried these they never work and end up drilling out but maybe worth a try for £6
