Just checking ... brake light doesn't operate with front brake. Rear works fine so not balb. Took connectors off and shorted across ... brake light works. Nothing else not working so brake light switch duff? Do you agree?

you can open them up and clean the contacts in them

I have had a few fail but they have just ended up needing a clean up

Thanks guys ... got a replacement ... the old one had something broken because the pin floated with no spring.

Anyway, fitted the new switch and the brake light comes on but only when the lever is pulled right in - (i'd be over the bars by this stage with the fireblade upgrade calipers) - so, is there a way to adjust it? I can't see a way.

I have a feeling the bloody MOT people will fail it again.

No, Bob. It has a location pin that needs to be seated. I cant think of a way of improvising :(

Pulled the old one apart and found the spring had come detached ... bar stuard to put it back on but managed it and now the switch works. Happy days. Back in for MOT Monday. :D
