Hi guys!

First post so please let me know if I've posted this in the wrong forum and I'll move it.

I've had a quick search for Burgess Hill, and I was wondering if anyone has any advice for taking their Mod 2 there? Some info:

I usually drive around London, but there weren't any mod 2 slots around, and my instructor said it was a nice area to have a drive in. I'm used to fairly slow roads and manoeuvring through traffic, but I'm wondering if the whole semi - rural village will pose a different kind of challenge?

I'm especially interested in speed limits in the area (again, barely get over 30 on my daily commute!), and if I'll have to take on any high speed traffic joining?

Any advice would be super appreciated as I have the test later this week.

Thanks in advance,

Jim

I know where the test centre is in Burgess Hill.......but I don't know any of the routes they use......not much use to you I'm afraid.....

Thanks! I will do.

Took a look around Burgess Hill earlier today and noticed there were a fair few roundabouts but nothing too peculiar. Still, test tomorrow so any thoughts would help!

Hey Jim!

Most test routes take in multiple change of speed limits (watch out for those 30 to 20 zones!), also probably a roundabout or at least lane merges to check your livesaver-ing. I think I had a stretch of 60mph on mine just to make sure you are comfortable at higher speeds. Had a quick google at the area there is a 60 stretch on the A273 so just make sure you mirror and accelerate if safe up to limit.

Oh and remember never ever turn right in you're in the left lane at a roundabout - better to go the wrong way and let the instructor sort out the new route than fail for that!

In villages watch out for people stepping out between cars etc and mainly just relax! Which I know is easier said than done! Lifesaves, mirrors, speed limit you'll be grand :thumb:
