Doom64 Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Hello, I passed my bike test a couple weeks ago now, passed the mod 1 first time and mod 2 second time. I can finally ride my cb400f and it is a blast to ride, corners nicely and it is quicker than I thought it would be, it has got a short megaphone exhaust on it and it sounds brilliant. There is one problem with it, it idles ok when cool and the revometer is smooth but when it gets hot it idles high and the revometer goes jittery and bounces around and it is a bit harder to start. Does anyone know what it could be or what to check? Thanks. Quote
Tango Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 It could be the exhaust is messing up the fuel/air mixture as suggested above.......whip the plugs out and check their colour to see how the mixture is...... Quote
Doom64 Posted October 22, 2016 Author Posted October 22, 2016 All of the plugs are a nice tan colour, I adjusted the air mixture so all of them are the same, it has stoped the bouncing of the revometer but is still jittery and it revs high when warm. Quote
