GroundWorkerb Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Hi folk,I have been collecting a few parts for my Fazer and probably like many of us have found it all on EBay.As I live in the Isle of Man it is often quite difficult to get stuff here and equally problematic getting bits posted to me; in fact some won't deal with the IoM or the postage is more than the item.Anyway I happened to find a seller in the south of England who has helped me source parts I needed and is probably the best person I have dealt with on EBay, his EBay contact/name is gregtickner (937Purple Star). He breaks bikes and would be pleased to hear from you should you need some bike spares; he was very fair with me and included postage costs and was quick to deal.Check him outBill Quote
klingelton Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 cheers,Always nice to hear of a trusted ebayer! In fairness, I haven't had a great deal of trouble from ebay - but you do hear some horror stories! Quote
Tango Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Yes, it's nice to hear of someone decent on eBay........but, TBF I've had very few problems with those I've dealt with on there..... Quote
iangaryprice Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 I have not had too many problems buying off EBay, Main problem I have had is Chinese sellers hiding as UK sellers, Delivery time can end up being weeks instead of days. I have had one to two items not turn up but it has always been sorted out. Biggest problems I have had is with buyers, Listed an item as collection only. Buyer was 200 miles away, asked me to deliver! Realised hos mistake said he would collect, but sent a courier, courier asked what was in the package, I said car sunroof, he asked was it glass, I said yes, courier said - we don't handle large glass items! cant take it! I ended up with negative feedback which ebay would not recind.I used to visit the IOM regularly, I worked for Strix near Ronaldsway airport, nearly ended up living there. I may be coming over for a week this year, we are trying to plan a weeks diving, Quote
