Family member searching for his old bike.

Hello, I am new to this Forum and posting so please excuse any errors. My cousin, who is not computer savvy has asked me to find his old motorbike from when he was a youngster. He is hoping if he finds it he may be able to buy it back one day. It is a Yamaha RD 125 LC Registration UHR 6Y. He did have the opportunity to buy it back a few years ago but due to a death in the family it was inappropriate at that time to spend money on a motorbike. He would dearly like to purchase it again one day even if it is in the future, so if we found the owner we could register an interest with them. Can anyone point me in the right direction? where do I start my search. Many thanks in advance.

UK MOT status check doesn't show any MOT history for that registration...

I'd start with who ever it was he could of bought it from a few years back.

So its not been taxed since before 1999... my guess is its either been scrapped, broken for parts, or sat in someone's shed never to see the light of day again...
