Skimblet Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Hi EveryoneI have noticed recently a whistling that appears to be coming from the front brake, its very high pitched and although not particularly loud it is rather annoying. At least I think its coming from the front brake, this is supported by the fact that when I pull the brake lever the noise stops. Can anyone suggest where I might start looking to find and resolve or is it most likely something I can ignore (I'm guessing not if its concerning the brakes)TIASkimblet Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Ear plugs - they'll make the whistle go away.Mine does it on & off according to the weather. I'm pretty sure it's just the pads ever so slightly kissing the disc when not in use. You could whip the pads out and clean the caliper if it worries you. Quote
Westbeef Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 I'd probably start by giving the brakes mechanism a good clean, really easy to do and might solve the issue."> Quote
