Adam88 Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Hey peeps Just a quick question really, I'm only short and touching both feet on the ground on my r6 we'll say tip toes it is lol I've searched and read about lowing the r6 with a linkage you can get for the rear end of the bike lowering it anywhere between 20mm-40mm just wondered if it's, worth doing without any problems occurring having it, like will it be more liable to snapping etc.... and also anyone know a place where I could buy one. Or know anywhere who will supply and fit in Essex or surrounding areas I have a link for one off eBay but I'm new to bike scene so ain't clued up about best make product etc..... any help much appreciated here's a link to one I've seen? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231036249158 Many thanks Adam Quote
Joeman Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Don't bother, learn to ride full size bikes otherwise you'll be restricted to lowered bikes. Quote
Arwen Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Can you get at least the ball of one foot on the ground when the other is on a peg? If so, learn to stop and set off like that, alternate it so you can eventually stop like that with either foot. It's what I need to do, and I have a lowerd bike Quote
megawatt Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Lower it and then you won't drop it. It won't ruin the handling as some think and will give you a lot more confidence. Search on eBay. Lust racing sell some. Quote
Tango Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Bonniebird put some of these links on her Speed 4.....lowered it enough to be useful......handling may be affected, but you'd probably only notice it if you were pushing hard on a track.....I doubt you'd notice any difference on the road......
