Hocker336 Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 I am very new to riding and have had a few problems with my bike over the last few months.I have a 2010 Honda CBF125-M, The warning light has started flashing (8 Rapid Flashes).I was wondering if anybody has the Haynes Manual and would be able to tell me what the Error Code would be?Thanks Quote
Westbeef Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Throttle position sensor I think from a quick google.I've got the haynes at home I can check properly later if you like.I found this page, I just don't know if it's the same across all Hondashttps://www.motorcycle-manual.com/honda-motorcycles-fault-codes Quote
Hocker336 Posted January 23, 2018 Author Posted January 23, 2018 I had a look at that earlier and it varies between long and short flashes so not sure whether that is what it represents. If you could have a look in the manual later it would be greatly appreciated Thanks Quote

Hocker336 Posted January 23, 2018 Author Posted January 23, 2018 That makes sense!I'll have a look when I finish work and get back to you. Quote
Westbeef Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Here you go, I hope you can read it. I’ve taken on my phone so it’s nice and clear when I zoom in a bit. It gives all the info on how to read the codes and clear them too. From the bottom half of the first page and all the second . Quote
Hocker336 Posted January 24, 2018 Author Posted January 24, 2018 That's perfect thank you!Definitely 8 short flashes so throttle sensor. Now to figure out how to fix it Quote
Westbeef Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 I'd start by cleaning up the connections, and then maybe replace the sensor. They're not too expensive second hand.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2010-Honda-CBF125-Throttle-Position-Sensor-TPS-16060KWF941-FREE-UK-SHIPPING/273009091395?hash=item3f909c2343:g:SPwAAOSwnCFaTRFEThey're used on quite a lot of models of Honda, part no - 16060-KWF-941.If the sensor was truly buggered though it sounds like it'd lose power, so someone with some experience of that issue may be along to help Quote
Hoggs Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 the only helpful thing beefy has ever done top helping! Quote
