Snod Blatter Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Is the bolt supposed to go all the way through and hold everything, even the fuel tank, in place? Are you sure you're trying to use the right bolts? Can we have any pictures?? Quote
jem1 Posted April 11, 2019 Author Posted April 11, 2019 I have been using the bolts that came with the rack the other ones fit but both the front ones on each side don't it's very odd I am sure I have the right hols as everything lines up perfectly I am not athe home till Saturday but will post some pics then Quote
Gerontious Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 If this is for the genuine rack, for the BMW panniers then you need these:This has to be fitted first, if its not already been changed: Then this: Had you asked, I would have suggested you not bother with the Genuine BMW and gone for Givi instead. which is far better and a lot cheaper. As you do not need to touch the original 'luggage' rack at the rear of the bike. https://tinyurl.com/y5jhpefzGivi also produce an adapter so a top case can be used on the original 'luggage' rack. jem1 Posted April 14, 2019 Author Posted April 14, 2019 It turns out the front of the mounting points the thread was stripped on both sides but half way through the thread was just blocked with rust/ dirt tapped them both out and all went together fine Quote
