JRH Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Motorhomes are fantastic in say the USA here in the UK no fecking chance.. unless you want to spend a lot time say in the highlands of Scotland .but then you get shite weather .. iv been on 2 motorhomes trips to the US once LA .. 2an New York/Niagara falls and wow .. fantastic . Caravaners are nothing but wannabe pikeys to disrupt everyone else lives/day as much as they can .. . Just had 24 days in Scotland. Weather great, maybe 3 days of rain but not enough to stop getting out and about.Generally the weather much better than the rest of the UK. (Sorry fastbob you picked the wrong week) Quote

onesea Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 This is often instantaneous so I wonder if there is an automated system, or maybe the guys in the control room are really on the ball. I believe it's all automated including setting seed limits, over seen by humans. If they were truly smart motorways, they would allow speeds greater than 70 mph at times where the road is lightly used. If they allowed 80 mph or even 90 if the traffic density was suitably low, they would get more public support. You would also get people changing their travel times to take advantage of this reducing traffic at busier times. Quote
