DarkStranger Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 Guys, I have had a Kawasaki KMX 125 sitting in my shed of several years and now plan to do it up. In all, it’s in pretty good nick, but where’s it’s been in a shed for a while, the wheels, forks, Handel bars have rust spots, etc on them. What’s the best way to get them looking new/newly new again? Will try and get pics added as I guess it’s hard to advise otherwise. Quote
WD-40 Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 Depends how bad it is. You could try to polish it out with some autosol metal polish. Quote
DarkStranger Posted June 3, 2020 Author Posted June 3, 2020 I have sourced another pair of forks, so problem solved. Quote
Tiggie Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 Tin foil and water works really well to get rid of light surface rust, just for future reference, roll the foil into a ball, dip into water and rub in small circles. Quote
