Hi all I'm new. Bike keeps cutting out when I come to a stop

Last week the light telling me what gear I'm in was staying on when I took key out that has stopped happening now but now when I come to a stop my bike sometimes cuts out and struggles to 're start it's also a bit lumpy when I first start riding does anyone know what is coursing this
