A larger 19-inch front wheel, Pirelli MT-60s, fully adjustable suspension, and 7 inches of suspension travel are traits that remind us of adventure, but a li-ion battery and an air-cooled interior permanent magnet motor? No gas power? Yup. The Zero DS and DSR are designed for adventure with the 21st century twist of electric power. Want even more? The DSR Black Forest Edition is even more adventure-ready with hard bags, touring screen, and hand guards. The Black Forest Edition is new for the US.

2020 Zero DS/DSR Reviews, Comparisons, And Competition

The electric subcategory of the adventure realm is left pretty open, but you could adventurize a Harley-Davidson LiveWire as seen in the Long Way Up TV series, or compare this to lightweight gas-powered ADVs that are still at the forefront of the category such as manual transmission machines like the KTM 390 Adventure, Kawasaki Versys-X 300, Honda CB500X, or Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Zero DS/DSR Updates For 2020

As stated previously, the DSR Black Forest Edition is new to the US this year for an MSRP of $18,995. Other than that, the DSR has bold new graphics and a price drop for 2020. Zero also updated its app and upgraded level of connectivity for all models.
