Shame really, like I say I liked the one I had briefly-it was in 2012/2013. I also passed my test on one years ago too!. Quote

stedebs Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 I commuted on the zx6r on a daily basis sheff - Rotherham, also rode it across to France a few times (in my 40's) in my 30's the commuter and long haul was a thundercat ........ it all depends what you are comfy on. Would I commute on the zx6r now????? I no longer commute to my job so now my wrists hurt after an hour of riding her so no ...... although if I started having to do the distance on a daily basis is only takes a week or so for your wrists to get used to it Quote

I reckon scooters are unbeatable in London. With you there. I've got an R1 which I ride to work on sunny days and the silverwing scooter for wet weather. My commute is mostly open road with a bit of town traffic either end but when filtering through this id much rather be on the scooter, twist and go is so easy, no fear of stalling or anything. The R1 clutch is fairly light but still gets to my wrist after a while. The SW is quite a large bike and I were commuting in a city I'd go something smaller maybe a 400cc Burgervan to help when filtering but with enough zip to keep up with traffic. Don't know how these bikes fit in with ulez ? 1 Quote
