How Much Power Does the 2021 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Make?

The 2021 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is a small-displacement cruiser that combines a relatively low MSRP (beginning at $4,399), timeless styling, and approachable, beginner-friendly performance for a big impact. Powered by a fuel-injected 349cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine, the Meteor 350 is a reminder of the simplicity of cruising.

Prior to a recent comparison test with the 2021 Honda Rebel 300, we placed the Meteor 350 on the Cycle World dyno to measure horsepower and torque figures. The approachable single-cylinder recorded a peak 17.86 hp at 6,070 rpm and 18.21 pound-feet of torque at 2,800 rpm. Looking more closely at the Meteor’s impressively flat torque curve that produces nearly 90 percent of its peak torque at just 1,800 rpm. It stays flat past its peak output, then begins a gentle downward slope until its 6,800-rpm redline.

Modest figures, for sure, but usable delivery makes this a versatile lightweight cruiser. As noted in testing, the Meteor 350′s delivery, “translates to a more torquey delivery right off the line for the Meteor, which makes it a pleasure to ride from stoplight to stoplight; it really takes the rush out of rush hour and is exceptionally relaxed in town.”
