Andrew Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Hi. Im 52 and I passed my bike test about 6 years ago, but have not been in a position to purchase a bike until now. I'm very aware of the dangers of biking but also want to get out on the open roads I live close to the Lakes so some very good roads are here to learn on. Is it best to just get out and put some hours in to get the experience, or is there a course available that will give me that confidence, I am looking for. Thanks Andrew Quote
Steve_M Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 I’d see no harm in approaching a local bike instructor for a refresher. A few lessons, say, just to re-acquaint yourself with the controls, etc. Longer term consider the IAM or RoSPA options. 1 Quote
KiwiBob Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 I think most instructors do a "back to biking" course so find one close and give them a call. https://www.a2bmotorcycletraining.co.uk/courses/back-to-biking/ 1 Quote
