vidas194 Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 1990 ( mono) SRX400 low mileage wouldn't start, got a good spark so checked air filter and watched engine crankcase breather pump mega amounts of oil out as the engine turned over. I assume that a seal has blown somewhere. Any tips on where to start looking would be gratefully received! Quote
Old-codger Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Could it be that petrol has drained into the sump and as you kick it over its being forced out of the breather because there is nowhere else to go. Check condition of oil and if there is petrol in the oil do not try to start it you could bend a rod. Quote
TimR Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 How long since last started? Piston rings could be stuck in and all compression is going into crankcase Quote
