manxie49 Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Took me a while to get my head around things when riding in the South of Ireland. I couldn't understand why so many people were pulling onto the hard shoulder when I came up behind them. I was told by a local that its the done thing over there. The same as everywhere you ride, all places have their unique standards of poor driving, this place here is no different 1 Quote
V650 Posted June 6, 2022 Author Posted June 6, 2022 (edited) Yeah people here will sometimes pull in to the hard shoulder without slowing down just to let you get past But that can bring it's own problems you feel obliged to overtake them and maybe end going faster than you should listening to the radio there was another added to the carnage and the weekend rush home has only started I just dont get how that many people can die in one weekend in such a geographicaly small country with a small population and prob 800.000 drivers They are like Lunatics on the roads some of them you would not let loose with a shopping trolly never mind a car Trying to teach the kids to drive at the moment so I'm probably seeing a lot more of it than usual and tryring to keep calm Edited June 6, 2022 by V650 1 Quote
