Cutting Out When Idling

Hi, recently got a ex-demonstrator Piaggio NRG DT 50 from a local well known reputable dealer and recently found out that it cuts out sometimes when idling and will start idling at 1000rpm (in owners manual says it should idle at around 1500 ÷ 1900) and then slowly drops the revs and the lights button starts to flash as if losing power and then eventually cuts out, bikes still under warranty and all but was wandering if this could need the carb adjusting and if this problem could be that the bike hasnt been used in the past week or so as they stored it when i payed the deposit. Any help is appreciated =]

Hi there bike stored for a week should not be an issue

If its still under warranty take it back and get them to deal with it as it may invalidate the warranty if you try adjusting anything

Rang them up, they said pop in so I did and they sorted the problem, got home looked at the bike something didn't seem right, a tube filled with an orange fluid was overhanging near the kickstart, missing like 3 screws, rang them up they said it couldn't have been them becuase they accessed the carb through the seat, shown them it, they said it was their fault but 2 of the screws were not their fault but they sorted it all out fine =] But will tighten screws sometime tomorrow, don't want to be losing any more :?
