BANDIT 600 MK2 Electrical Gremlins..

Hello all,

 

Very strange issue occurring with my 2001 GSF600.

 

While on a ride my headlights stopped working completely other than the pass button. Checked the wiring with multimeter to find that hi beam low beam are both getting power all the way up to the female 3 pin coming from the loom. 

 

So plugged the bulb straight into the 3 pin and exact same thing is happening ( no headlights other than pass button working )

 

While testing the headlight I came to realise I now have no brake lights either, running light and number plate light both working as standard however neither foot brake or front brake trigger the brake lights to illuminate. 

 

I am completely stumped to what this could be as all sockets are getting correct voltage and the fact the high beams work with the pass button and not the low beam high beam switch is beyond me.

 

Can anyone send me in the right direction.

Sounds like an earth issue. Try making a secondary earth and see what happens.
