k3lv Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Just got a 2005 honda sh125 to use for late/early shifts seeing as the gsxr is far too loud...anyway got this little ped as spares and repairs needed a new battery so got that ....as I turn on the key the fuel pump primes then sounds like it's clicking...the same sound as when you try starting a bike with a flat battery ,is this normal ? I know nothing about mopeds so don't know if they do this ....also turns out there's no spark coil connection was so corroded it literally crumbled off Quote
fredc Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 some new batteries need charged up before they have enough power to start the bike 1 Quote

As I tested the wires to the coil for a circuit it was reading about 7 volts each cable waiting for new coil to arrive Quote
