6 points on CBT licence

Hello. I got 6 points on my CBT bike licence. Do you know will I be banned from driving/ have my licence revoked please?

Have you got a licence or just a provisional? 

 

If you have passed other categories and hold a license and had it for more than 2 years then no

On a provisional then you'll have lost that provisional. You'll not be allowed to ride until you've passed another CBT.

Also to note you will have to serve the notice/ ban length before you can reapply then it will still be on you licence for years as the same duration as if you had a full one and stay on your new one when you pass until the anniversary date of the points to be removed.

All points bolched on your license can be removed for a fee after 4years from memory unless court decides otherwise. You will have to tell your insurance of your naughty deeds if they ask about it generally upto 5years after conviction. 
 

so guessing its just youve been caught speeding twice so soon? Or is it for worse?

Ok mate thanks I appreciate the info, been caught with no insurance, my direct debits failed and it was cancelled I didn’t notice and got caught out, my fault and looks like I’ll pay for it

Ouch... sorry to hear that. thats abit worse than a-bit above the speed limit im afraid. The fine will be abit more too unless you get summoned, then bets are off. 

 

Uve got to declare that and might be limited to a specialist insurer for the near future for a time.

Also remember you only have just one driving licence with various entitlements on it, eg Car, Motorcycle, HGV or whatever and not a Car Licence, Bike Licence etc. The IN10 endorsement you will receive will have to be declared on if/when you get a car and look for insurance as well.

 

You are also now in a position that if you get 6 more points in the next three years you'll get banned again under the totting up process.
