nman1 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Right, having learnt I`ve kept my job, I am now on leave from 15th to 19th Sept. I`m looking to take a ride out up North or accross the midlands with a stop over in a B + B. Thinking of taking in Alton Towers, possibly Blackpool. Anyone care to join me for a couple of hours/days or just meet up, let me know and we can start to arrange times and places. I fully intend to stick quite a few miles on the bike, preferably non-motorway (too bloody boring) so I`m open to suggestions as to where to go. My Uncle lives in Scunthorpe so that too is a possibility. Can`t wait. Quote

Guest Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 get another 3 days on there and we can go lands end and ill show you some fab roads in scotland...if i can get time off that is Quote
nman1 Posted August 29, 2008 Author Posted August 29, 2008 Feck me that sounds like far too many miles mate. Lands end and scotland . Furthest I`ve done in one day was about 350 miles. I know some on here who have done far, far more than me. I get bored on motorways or too many duel carriageways so I tend to stick to minor A roads and B roads. Quote
Bill_on_a_bike Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 does every piece of road in the north have a name out of the lord of the rings? Quote
