LoneWolf Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 So I was riding home a few nights ago and stupidly money shifted my bike accidentally going along a dual carriageway. I lost some power and thought it was going to cut out and shot a flame out my exhaust pipe. The bike seemed to ride back home fine and regained most if not all of its power. It still runs albeit with a slight tapping noise which I assume is coming from the valves this tapping disappears at high rpm but I’m concerned that I’ve done some internal damage, anyone able to help? Mississippi Bullfrog Posted March 24, 2024 Posted March 24, 2024 I'm not sure what you did - 'money shifted'? If it was just a missed gear change then you won't have done any damage as the engines are rev limited, false neutrals happen. If in doubt check the vavle clearances. Quote
