Granty Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 Hi. Are there any members out there who have had a ride on a bike fitted with the above. If yes please can you pass on what it performed like. Im committed to my Neo Classic 125, its three years old but Im going to hang on to it, see if Honda have plans to fit it to more bikes in their range. Regards. Quote

Gerontious Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 (edited) How it will perform depends entirely on how you use it. The bike can be either fully automatic or fully manual.. or a mix of the two. I have a bike with DCT and this new tech seems to be a halfway house. Maybe an improvement on a quickshifter. Seems unlikely to me that they would make it an option for 125cc bikes. They sell a lot of them and if it was feasible then they would have started with those bikes in addition to the 650s. But… never say never. if you haven’t already. Do your test and take one out for a test ride. Decide for yourself. As far as I’m concerned it’s highly unlikely I would ever move back to a bike with a standard transmission. It’s that good. Huge fun. No bad gear changes - ever. No knocking helmets with a pillion - ever. Impossible to stall. Increased chain life. Click. Click. Edited April 29, 2024 by Gerontious 1 1 Quote
Granty Posted April 29, 2024 Author Posted April 29, 2024 Hi. Just finished watching some vids on the E clutch. Curently it's a hundred pound option on two CBR bikes. One of the presenters suggeted it could be made to be a bolt on option with all the plug and play ecu etc stuff all ready to attach. One of the Honda engineers intimated, rightly so, it could be fitted to more bikes as time goes on. Im well interested to see how the future works out. Im a bit long in the tooth now and my feet work better than my hands. Im on small bikes due to the weight, the bikes, not me. I would jump straight away for the smaller bike with this E Clutch if it became available. Get weaving Honda, time is short Thanks for the info. Regards. 1 Quote
