Spyke Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Hello all . Need help . I’ve got a 2017 Lexmoto Milano 125cc . The brake master cylinders (both front and rear ) are completely shot . No brakes at all .. after much searching on eBay and through my parts dealer it appears they have discontinued this bike , and now I cannot get replacement brake cylinders .. is there a modification I can do , or is there a similar brake system from another bike I can put in its place at all? Or perhaps a universal brake cylinder ? I’ve run out of options . Any help would be greatly appreciated! Quote
Old-codger Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Hi there welcome to the forum, it is more than probable that another master cylinder complete with lever could be made to fit. I take it that its a scooter with both front and rear brakes on the bars, a picture would help. You need to know your handlebar diameter and see if you can find a part number on your master cylinders then do a search on that part number. It is bound to be used on loads of other bikes and scooters. AS you have found out chinese bikes are crap at supplying spare parts. Probably a universal master cylinder could fit but you also need to take into account there will be brake light switches that you may need to adapt the wiring. Anything is possible good luck with your search and be careful if you aint sure what you are doing get help dont take risks with your brakes. 2 Quote
bud Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Yes it does seem to be out of stock. I'm guessing you do not have ABS? You should be able to find something from a Yamaha or Honda 125 scooter that would fit. Perhaps have a look on eBay where you can compare pictures to your brakes. Quote
Tiggie Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 It may help knowing that an AJS Modena is the same scooter. Might find parts for that bike which will fit. 3 1 Quote
