Helmetgurus Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 was tinkering with the bike seeing as i cant go out on it.. and think i cracked the lil plastic insert on my throtle handle. the grip was rubbing slightly on my bar end... with a lil gentle persuasion, i managed to get it to stop rubbing.. but my gentle persuasion may have been lil heavy handed.. and now.. my throtle has loads of free play.. (back and forth) any ideas on if i tighten my throttle, this will sort it or is it time for a new throttle handle? Quote
husoi Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 As much I appreciate a good reading. Without a few pics, details of the bike, etc. It's impossible to give any advice 2 1 Quote
RideWithStyles Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Depends on the bike! I will generalise - More than likely you have broken the lug/ tab that hold the cable /sensor with the inner grip or the solder to the cable….not expensive to get another “as general” but a pain in the arse as you might be better changing the rubber grip /cable with the new inner throttle housing while your at it.
