husoi Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 Just wondering if anyone here knows which pension providers can manage your pension if you live abroad. Was told by moneyfarm that they can't manage the private pension for non UK residents. Because they are not advisers they allegedly can't say who would be able to take over the pension pot when I move away from UK. Quote
JRH Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 Have a look at Pension Wise think it’s run by Citizens Advice. 1 Quote
daveinlim Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 It depends what you mean my managed. A few of the big names will hold a pension for someone outside the UK. If you're not contributing then a transfer should be straight forward. Since Brexit a lot of firms have given up their international licences as they were too expensive to maintain or too complicated. A DFM to actively manage may be harder to find also an IFA with an international licence is hard to find now. Quote
husoi Posted November 6, 2024 Author Posted November 6, 2024 Found out pension bee will keep paying regardless of where I live as long I still have a bank account that they can send the money to. With a fee of 0.70% isn't too bad 2 Quote
