The difference was the Japanese bikes were really good and the British bikes of the time weren't.ย

Difference is there wasnโ€™t many good other options to go with and at that time learning ย and progress was being made to innovate (jap/euro/uk) to make better.

while the Chinese is and most still is copy somewhere else, make cheaper to the price point that goes beyond creditable.

until that business mind set (which only makes them competitive) is broken, is their own undoing if you completely ignore issues towards aggressive pushing out competitors throw flooding, cheap cost tactics and other very negative results.
