Hi All

I have 2023 Versys 1000 S with only 2000 miles on the clock, I purchased this brand new sept 2023.

I have an issues when using the Quick Shift, between 2-3rd gear & 5-6 gear it will not select or go into those gear when changing up the box, the engine revs go high so I have to shut off the throttle then it sometimes will go into those gears.

I also have a very noisy clutch release bearing & sometimes the gears will clunk up & down the box.

has anyone experience this😳

I am not very familiar with that unit of QS, if its load bearing or not, a lot of modern oem avoid load bearing ones as they are more expensive and require more setting up as an individual component but they are better, where as the other is ecu controlled which is cheaper and faster for the manufacturer to do.

Possibly like one problem giving two issues or two separate ones with those descriptions.
now the throttle bodies will be either complete fly by or part, so doesn’t matter what you do to the throttle it has the final say of if, what and when it does happen and its controlled by the ecu, end of.

Is the slight clunking with you using the clutch properly or not? Depending on when and how harsh can happen.

sometimes the QS or sensor can get out of sync and create problems for the gb.

revs will go high as its blipping the throttle for you (throttle bodies) to reduce load and rev match, if the sync is out or a reading is quite right it won’t do it to save the gearbox and avoid locking up.

QS has no relation with the clutch as its timing and unloading torque based with the clutch engaged.

Possibly might be something has loosened and giving fault readings.

timing for QS is always engine characteristic, gear, load depending, timing is not the same throughout any revs or all gears.
some oem QS will only work (properly) within a certain revs and throttle loadings (high).
