cossie916 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 At least you didn't have to get up for it! I'm tired now, as it peeved me so much I couldn't get back to sleep until around midnight! (up at 0445 for work! ) Quote
Revvin Kevin Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Race is rescheduled for tonight 9pm, warmup 6:30pm, don't know where it is being shown though Quote
Jerry Can Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Think its on Eurosport but the website says it's at 7 this evening.Eurosport always manages to confuse me Quote
Guest Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 well the re-run is scheduled to start at 7pm uk time, and the beeb site has " Live on BBC red button and BBC Sport website from 1845 BST ". Just seen a post from Belinda, in charge of MotoGP for the beeb...."Tonight's race is live on the red button and website. I am sorry but we just couldn't get a network slot at this time but I am chasing to get a repeat on BBC2 but being a Bank Holiday and the phones are playing up in Qatar I don't have any news on that right now but I'll get back to you as soon as possible. We have also offered, on a one off basis, live rights for this race to Eurosport so that as many people as possible will be able to watch it. None of this is ideal I know but we are doing our best in a difficult situation."So keep a beady eye on Eurosport 2 from 6.30 onwards Quote

Yep... Can't argue with any of that.... I think Toseland's bottle has gone... Unfortunately unless he gets it back for the next race like you say it's wsbk next year... Come on Bradley Smith!!! Quote
yorbandit Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 As exciting as watching formula 1 DISCUSShOW LONG BEFORE WE HAVE NOBODY IN THE SAME SHOT ?????Gaps that big !!!!! not a race Quote
Jerry Can Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Agreed, a gap that big is boring. J'T needs a rocket up his backside ffs c'mon James!!! Quote
techno Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Nice to see the control tyre has brought things closer together. You could tell during qualifying it wasnt going to be close! Quote
Korben Posted April 13, 2009 Author Posted April 13, 2009 As exciting as watching formula 1 DISCUSShOW LONG BEFORE WE HAVE NOBODY IN THE SAME SHOT ?????Gaps that big !!!!! not a race It's the first race... Manufacturers will catch up and it will get close... Testing time is cut down this year which means that for the first race if you get lucky with the setup the gap will be mahoosive.Just like Jenson Button is winning at the moment, I bet he won't win the next two races as manufacturers will catch up. jimsoon Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 agree with the above, obviously Ducati and Yamaha have some advantage over the rest, but where did gap between lorenzo and rossi come from it was huge at the end but they were fighting at the start.Any thoughts on the 'Racing Incident'? Quote
Guest akey Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Ducati and Yam dont have an advantage (look at the rest of the pack from both), Stoner really has something at Qatar he has always been fast at that track, he always finds a bit extra. Rossi started last year worse than this year and still won, I dont think we can judge the season on the first race, especially as its Qatar which is a very different track (the dust and the longest straight of any other track motoGP visit), add to this the fact that teams are still learning about the new tyres it should get much more interesting throughout the season. gaz Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 hope it gets more interesting, ive recorded that race as a cure for my insomnia Quote
techno Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 An addition to akeys post also probably the coldest track temp as well! But as the 800's dont lend themselves to overtaking and arguably the 2 best riders have been used to running bridgestones cant see anyone gate crashing the front 2 right often! Quote
Guest Rossi_Fan Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Stoner and Rossi were always gonna be at the pointy end having run Bridgestones last season. The one tyre rule has left Bridgestone giving everyone the same 2 choices of tyre and these tyres were developed to suit Stoner and Rossi. They are the tyres they ran last season. It should close up a bit once the other bikes have got their bikes sorted to run these tyres. Quote
Guest Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Nice to see the control tyre has brought things closer together. You could tell during qualifying it wasnt going to be close! Ya right Techno a one make tyre championship aint a lot of cop but to be honest who is bridgestone going to ask for feed back..Stoner or Rossi so the tyres will be made to suit them and sod the rest..Laters skooter Quote
queen bodecia Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I tried to watch it when I got home last night but fell asleep. I did see the one and only exciting part of the race though... Quote

Quote
Guest Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 yes they were made for Stoner and Ducati but Rossi rides his bike different to Stoner and if you remember Rossi did throw his dummy out and say " if I dont get Bridgestone I'm not racing any more"so they might of been slightly different then but I dont know about now..
