It has a speedo overlay, but you cant see it at nightI'm just a bit anal about stuff like that, and thought it I can just change for mph clocks its a n easy fixThanks for the link, I'll have a look Quote
Guest Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 if you can hold of a set of uk blade clocks it should be an easy swap, but you'd need to note/document mileages at changeover Quote

Guest Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 as long as you get the same model/year it should be a one for one swap..i've done several on old suzi's namely my katana with gs clocks.. had no dramas... Quote
Stu Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 some bikes are a straight swap others arent so easy not sure about the blade is it cable driven or electronic ? you can get a converter for around £20 though which will be miles cheaper then the clocks Quote
rennie Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I looked at converter but the needle would hardly move round at all, 100mph would be where 100 kph is now! so didn't bother.if you changed the clocks would you have to change the drive unit too? Quote

Colin the Bear Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 50 is 30, 80 is 50, 120 is 75 and 160 is a ton. A mental converter is dead easy to fit. You soon get used. Quote
cleedubber Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 OK, I've bought a set of clocks from an RRV...for the princely sum of...... wait for it..........25 whole pooonds plus 6 postage, yes I know, bargainSo I'll let you know how I get on, might even be here in the morningColin....I know its easy enough to convert; I have to do it in my beetle, but if its an easy fix then I would like to do it...hence asking a bit of advice Quote
Colin the Bear Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 And then of course it will sell as a non import Quote
cleedubber Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 And then of course it will sell as a non import I will be putting this on the track if I ever get another road bikeHardly think it makes much dif to the price anyway Quote
cleedubber Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 Well got some MPH clocks from an RRV...they're way outGot my mate to ride alongside me and I looked at his digi reading while checking mine....his was 29/30mph..mine was showing about 20mph !!Ah well, was worth a try, maybe its the drive unit as you said rennie Quote
kja.busa Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Then just change the drive unit too, that should sort it surely? Quote

Bill_on_a_bike Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 http://www.redialuk.co.uk/Never used them, but these guys open your clock up and print a new facia for it. Like I say, never used them, but might be worth a ring. Quote
